A mysterious as well as a curious heavenly phenomenon is the pulsar, a special star that broadcasts radio signals with extreme regularity. To date, we have only known eleven of such objects. Drake and Craft recently discovered an ultra-short period for two cosmic objects within the framework of a longer regularity. X-rays would be transmitted during this sub-period at regular intervals of about 10 millisecond, while radio signals would be emitted in the longer, one-second, main period. It is not clear whether both periods belong to one and the same celestial body or to a system of two objects rotating around each other. Based on theoretical considerations, the ten millisecond period fits into the image that one has designed of a vibrating neutron star (an ultra dense star made up of neutrons, electrically uncharged "hydrogen" nuclei).
